My next favorite in the animal/bird kingdom after the elephant is the peacock. It is an artist’s dream this one. The riot of colours and the intricate design of the feather woven from Mother Nature’s hands make it a perfect subject for anyone wanting to work on a colourful subject.

The other thing with the peacock and me is that in real life it has been a really elusive bird for me to spot. While in Coimbatore I always hear the call of the peacock and try as I might, I never land up actually seeing one. Whereas my husband has had several sightings and takes photos for me to feast my eyes on the sight.
